Each edition I\u2019ll be releasing 1 or 2 new recipes, and occasionally some cooking tips. I might even do some restaurant reviews. Hopefully you enjoy this section. Bon Appetit!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here are a few cooking tips that could make your life easier, or just general safety advice\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t cross contaminate! Clean your cutting boards after each use, especially if you are putting raw meat, fish, or eggs on something, the same goes with plates, utensils, kitchen devices, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After working with raw meat, fish or eggs wash your hands, this can prevent bacteria getting from raw meat to other foods<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cut with your knuckles facing the knife, this can help avoid cutting of part of your fingers, put your hands in a claw shape then grab what your cutting with that shape, you should be using your dominant hand for the cutting, unless you find the other hand more comfortable.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>When cooking for the first time, have a back up meal (such as leftovers, or instant ramen (Shin ramen is spicy and delicious).<\/li>\n<li>It is easy to under estimate the amount of time it takes to cook a meal.<\/li>\n<li>Follow the CDC Guidelines.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to the cooking section of The Orange and Black.
