However, stay more than 6 feet away from them and do not chase them. Geese may not have teeth, but they are fierce and will attack if provoked.In September, I saw two boys harassing the geese. Please treat the geese with respect, as they are wildlife.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These birds make an incredible journey south for the winter, and our school soccer fields are just one stop on their journey.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They like lawns because the grass is easily digestible and for the wide, unobstructed view of predators.
