I descend
\nknee deep
\n<\/span>into chilly refreshing water.<\/span><\/p>\n

Feet sink
\n<\/span>into wet rocky sand.<\/span><\/p>\n

Water splashes
\n<\/span>droplets fall lightly on my face.<\/span><\/p>\n

I walk deeper.
\n<\/span>A tide so low
\n<\/span>you could walk for miles still keeping your head above.<\/span><\/p>\n

I wave my cousin on
\nurging her to descend deeper into the salty waters.
\n<\/span>Water rises up my legs
\n<\/span>reaching up
\n<\/span>to touch my shorts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Boats chug past.
\nThe engines play a soft melody in my ear.
\n<\/span>New adventures await
\n<\/span>the content sailors.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eyes stay focused ahead,
\n<\/span>hands stay fastened to the wheel,
\n<\/span>waiting for whatever the ocean brings.
\n<\/span>Navigating the cold
\n<\/span>wavy waters
\n<\/span>breezy ocean winds.<\/span><\/p>\n

I look back down
\nto water’s sandy surface,
\n<\/span>to creatures below.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s not there.
\n<\/span>
\n<\/span>I continue on until I see
\n<\/span>small sand dollars.<\/span><\/p>\n

My hand plunges into the crisp water.<\/span><\/p>\n

Found one!<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

My sister and cousin <\/span>come splashing over
\n<\/span>to admire <\/span>the small treasure
\n<\/span>I have found.
\n<\/span>They lightly hold the precious creature,
\n<\/span>as if their lives depended on it.<\/span><\/p>\n

I smile and hand them the sand dollar,
\nto add to the collection
\n<\/span>and continue looking
\n<\/span>in cool, salty water,
\n<\/span>on this breezy day,
