The Arizona Cardinals were founded in 1898 as a neighborhood team in Chicago. In 1920 they became part of the NFL. They are one of the only original NFL teams left, along with the Chicago Bears. The Cardinals have made it to one Super Bowl, but lost. They play in a dome in Glendale, AZ. The Cardinals played in Chicago from 1920 – 1960, in St. Louis from 1960 – 1988, and in Arizona from 1988 – Present. They are in the NFC Conference in the West Division with the San Francisco 49ers, the Seattle Seahawks, and the Los Angeles Rams who also played in St. Louis. They have played in Sun Devil Stadium, the home of Arizona State University. They were called the Phoenix Cardinals from 1988 – 2006. The away jerseys are white, the home jerseys are red, and the alternates are black. I hope you learned about the oldest NFL Franchise.
