2026 is here! What to know, and the lineup of the big 26!

Movies and musicals:

1. Jul 31, 2026– SpiderMan IV: Brand New Day is coming out during 2026, as Tom Holland stars again as Peter Parker, who tries to live his regular college life while dealing with brand new threats.

2. May 8, 2026– Mortal Kombat II, where fan-favorite champions, including Johnny Cage, return to fight Shao Khan and his army.      

3. Dec 18, 2026– Avengers: Doomsday will be the next epic ensemble film in the MCU where the heroes will face off against Doctor Doom.

4. Jul 1, 2026– Minions III, where the beloved yellow henchmen return for another zany                           standalone adventure. 

5. Apr 3, 2026– The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, where Mario and Luigi embark on a cosmic adventure.

6. Jun 19, 2026– Toy Story V, where Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the gang must contend with a new threat: modern electronics.

7. Apr 26, 2026– Michael, A biographical musical drama detailing the life and career of the “King of Pop,” Michael Jackson.

Gaming and Entertainment:

1. Feb 18, 2026– Poppy Playtime Chapter V: Intermission, where the protagonist explores the depths of the new Poppy Playtime floor, while avoiding monsters and entities, such as the Prototype, Lily Lovebraids, and the Glowby and Giblet twins.

2. Nov 19, 2026– GTA VI, the sixth installment to the Grand Theft Auto series, has had its               release date delayed a lot, but is now scheduled to release on November 19, 2026.

3. Fall of 2026 – Marvel’s Wolverine, a PS5 exclusive video game, developed by Insomniac Games, and has fast – paced combat and an exhilarating, mature story for the one and only X – men.

Space and Celestial events:

1. Jan 17, 2026– The Annular Solar eclipse, predicted to happen on February 17 will be   visible in parts of the southern hemisphere.

2. Aug 12, 2026– Total Solar eclipse, predicted to happen on August 12 will be visible in parts of North America, Europe, and Asia.

3. May 31, 2026 and Sep 26, 2026– Two supermoons, one happening on May 31, and another happening on September 26. In addition to these supermoons, a Blue Moon will be visible at the same time.

4. Apr 22, 2026–Apr 23, 2026– Lyrids Meteor Shower, about 20 meteors every hour,           happening on April 22 – 23.

Feb 6, 2026– Artemis II, one of NASA’s first crewed Moon missions in over 50 years.
