As of November 2025, the French police have found and charged two more suspects over the Louvre museum heist last month. These jewels are worth €88 million Euros, or about $102 million US dollars. They were taken from the Louvre on October 19, 2025 in broad daylight! Witnesses claim that 4 men were involved in the heist. Two of the four alleged thieves, who have been arrested, now admit their involvement in the thievery! The two suspects were not arrested together – they were separated. One of them was a 38 – year old woman, charged for organized theft, and the other was a 37 – year old man, who was charged for the same thing. Both of them originally claimed that they were not part of the heist.
The other two men who robbed the Louvre claimed that they had “partially recognized” the two suspects during the theft. The two suspects’ identities have not been revealed to the public. The 37 – year old man was placed in pre – trial detention for past robberies. The man was also said to have a DNA link to the heist. Therefore, the police suspect him as one of the thieves. The French public is satisfied with the fast progress in the investigation, but they still admit that the heist is embarrassing and humiliating for France and the Louvre.
