On June 1, 2026, Pro Bowl edge rusher and two time NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett got traded to the Rams for edge rusher Jared Verse, 2027 1st round pick, 2028 2nd round pick, and 2029 3rd round pick. Last year, Garrett set the sack record in the NFL (a sack is when a player tackles the quarterback for a loss of yards) and won the Defensive Player of the Year. He was picked first in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns and has been there his entire career. After last year, people expected him to remain in Cleveland until about 2030, as he just signed a new contract last year. This trade shocked many people throughout the NFL staff and every fan watching the Browns too.
