Strings Concert

By Shree Kotadia and Laura Narvaez

The strings concert on October 25 was a spectacular, sensational, spooky concert, filled with people, unicorns, aliens and just about everyone in between. With Ms. Tandon on the podium for one song and Ms. Memoli on for another, everyone knew that this would be the best concert ever. Ms. Memoli was just about to take her place on stage, when a few high schoolers played the “Barbie Girl”song just for her, because she dressed up as Stereotypical Barbie. Quite on the contrary, Ms. Tandon was Dug the Slug, the cute little mollusc mascot for WMS orchestra. For the grand finale, the high school Honors Chamber Orchestra played Mama Mia and Dancing Queen both by ABBA; the crowd instantly roared when the experts finished the magnificent masterpiece. Everyone enjoyed the reception at the end with sweet treats such as cider, donuts, and cupcakes. This was definitely a night to remember!
